Overdue book returns after 96 years!

In Northern California an overdue library book is finally back in its rightful place. And this isn’t just any overdue book. This one was checked out nearly 100 years ago. Published in 1892, it was one of the first books available back when the Saint Helena library was a subscription service. Think of it like the Netflix of its day — 25 cents a month to check out books, and had someone wanted to browse its pages they would have done that in the library’s reading room. The library didn’t say who had the book for the 96 years it was checked out.
