Oahe Zap lost to Sawtooth Sockeyes 6-1 on Sunday.
Sawtooth Sockeyes got on the board in the top of the sixth inning after Ryder Cutlip tripled, and Ethan He doubled, each scoring one run.
Carter Walsh earned the win for Sawtooth Sockeyes. The reliever gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Gavin Starcher took the loss for Oahe Zap. They went eight innings, surrendering six runs on eight hits, striking out eight and walking none. Dylan Gardner stepped on the bump first for Sawtooth Sockeyes. They surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two.
Trevor Segraves, Andrew Beavers, Tyler Traphagen, and Tyler Hoffman each collected one hit for Oahe Zap. Oahe Zap turned three double plays in the game. Oahe Zap didn’t commit a single error in the field. Kyle Memarian had the most chances in the field with 11.
Sawtooth Sockeyes accumulated nine hits in the game. Seth Ryberg went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Sawtooth Sockeyes in hits. Grant Kerry provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Sawtooth Sockeyes with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-4 on the day. Cutlip collected two hits for Sawtooth Sockeyes in four at bats. Sawtooth Sockeyes turned two double plays in the game.
