BRANDON – Brandon Valley edged the Post 8 Junior team 1-0 Friday at First National Bank Field to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three regional series in the American Legion Junior Class A Tournament.
Nolan Pudwill hit a sacrifice fly for the game’s only run in the second inning.
Trevor Rounds and Dawson Getz combined on a three-hitter for Post 8. The Eights had four hits, but stranded seven runners.
Game 2 will be played on Saturday, also in Brandon. Post 8 must win to force a third and deciding game.
