As the Pierre City Commission works through it’s 2024 budget, they’re hearing funding requests from various community organizations.
One of those entities is Capital City Campus and Chris Maxwell says they’re asking for $42,000.
Maxwell says they’re looking at expanding some of the current offerings.
Maxwell says higher education is changing every day.
Previously managed by the South Dakota Board of Regents, the then Capital University Center began its transition to the current format back in 2017. In January of 2020, the educational center relaunched under local management as Capital City Campus.
