Yesterday (Aug. 16, 2023) was the first day of the 2023-24 school year for Stanley County students.
Superintendent Dan Baldwin says early student enrollment numbers are steady.
Like school districts around the state and nation, Baldwin says they had to be creative to fill some staff positions.
As far as attendance, Baldwin says the district does pretty well.
He says the district is continuing with its four-day week, using Fridays for extra help for the students.
Baldwin has some asks of parents and guardians of Stanley County School District students this coming year.
Those with questions at any time of the school year are encouraged to call the school in Fort Pierre at 605-223-7741.
