According to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, 82% of South Dakota farms and ranches and 77% of North Dakota farms and ranches had access to computers in 2023. This compares to the national average of 69%.
In South Dakota, 93% of the farms and ranches had internet access while 85% of the farms and ranches in North Dakota had internet access. Both states are up 3% from 2021, the last time this data was collected.
