Byre said after the boards deal with the project numbers on their ends, statements will go out from the highway department for reimbursement and closure.
Budget Hearings
During the budget supplement hearing, the commissioners passed a motion to defer approval of a $70,000 vehicle for the Sheriff’s department until the next meeting. This will allow time to investigate pricing on surplus vehicles.
A line item amount of $5120 to the 25% Municipalities fund was approved for the provisional budget. Deb Kahl explained the amount.
Another amount that was approved was $6,000 to the Auditor’s budget to be used if needed to contact Legislative Audit for assistance with the 2024 budget.
The commission then passed a motion to adopt the Provisional Budget. Line item changes can still be made to the provisional budget before the meeting in October at which time the 2024 Annual Budget will be adopted.
Landfill
The commission approved the surplus of two freon extractors at the landfill.
