HURON – Pierre’s Jared Lutmer showed again Saturday why he is a boys Class AA cross country state favorite.
Lutmer earned his second straight individual win at the Clyde Cotton Invitational at Broadland Creek Golf Course.
Lutmer, who won the Salhi/Salmi Invitational in Aberdeen on September 7, set a personal best of 15:34.7, 16 and a half seconds ahead of Brandon Valley’s Mikah Peters.
Pierre’s boys team ran ninth.
The Governor girls earned a third-place finish, with Harper Shaffer running the best individually in 24th.
