It’s illegal to transform your vehicle to make it look like a police car. Even if you’re only doing it because it LOOKS TIGHT. (???)
A 28-year-old woman in Florida was arrested this week, after she was caught driving a Dodge Charger, which was painted in the same black and bronze paint scheme as Florida Highway Patrol trooper cars. It even had a light bar.
At first, the woman claimed she BOUGHT IT that way . . . but then she admitted that she was a security guard, and she had the car wrapped like that on purpose.
She said she, quote, “fell in love with the color scheme.” She also admitted that she added the blue-and-white light bar on the car’s roof.
She was charged with: Imitating a Florida Highway Patrol marked unit . . . misusing a dealer plate . . . and driving a vehicle with no registration.
