South Dakota’s non-resident pheasant hunting season opens tomorrow

With the youth and resident only on public lands portions of South Dakota’s pheasant hunting seasons already in the bag, there will be a lot of blaze orange out and about tomorrow (Oct. 21, 2023) when the resident and non-resident pheasant hunting season opens.

Game, Fish and Parks Wildlife Division Director Tom Kirshenmann says early indications show it should be a good season.

Kirshenmann says it appears the weather will cooperate for opening weekend.

South Dakota’s pheasant season goes through January 31, 2024.
