The Oahe Habitat for Humanity affiliate has purchased two properties along W. Elizabeth Street in Pierre and hopes to build a home for a local family next year.
Dan McColley is the Lead Mission Officer and Executive Director of the Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity. He says everyone deserves a decent place to live.

Audio PlayerMcColley says the goal is to keep the cost of the home loan down at a level the family moving into it can afford.
Audio PlayerChris Maxwell is on the executive leadership team of the Oahe Habitat for Humanity affiliate. He says the Brookings affiliate will handle the paperwork, permits and other administrative duties so the Oahe affiliate can focus on building.
