Fort Pierre City Council considering moving up start time of monthly meetings

The Fort Pierre City Council is considering beginning their regular monthly meetings at an earlier time.

During this week’s (Nov. 20, 2023) meeting, Alderman Larry Cronin suggested a 6pm CT start time.

Mayor Gloria Hanson thinks an earlier meeting time would be beneficial.

General consensus seemed to land on a 6pm CT start time rather than the current 6:30pm CT.

The next Fort Pierre City Council meeting will be held Dec. 4, 2023.
