Employees of a construction business in Fort Pierre will be getting a little extra Christmas cheer this year.
Morris, Inc., President, CEO and Owner John Morris says the company will be distributing a total of $670,000 to its team members as part of their 2023 profit sharing program. He says employees will be getting 60% of the profit sharing money before Christmas and the other 40% when audited financials are finalized and before spring startup.
Morris says this is the second year the company has used the profit sharing program. Prior to 2022, the company used a safety bonus program that was paid out based upon cost of accidents that occurred. He says the profit sharing program takes into account the cost of accidents, but also rewards employees for their hard work and efficiency that directly affect the company’s bottom line.
Morris says the profit sharing distribution reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to “recognizing the invaluable role our employees play in driving the growth and prosperity of Morris, Inc.” He says the profit sharing initiative is not only a financial acknowledgment but also a reflection of the Morris family’s belief in the importance of sharing the success of their business with those who make it possible, while supporting our local communities.
Morris, Inc., is a second-generation family-owned business that has been around for 53 years.
