BROOKINGS, .S.D. – Kimball senior Blake Lieferman is one of 29 football players to sign letters of intent to attend South Dakota State and complete for the Jackrabbit football team on Wednesday. Leiferman was honored as a member of the Sioux Falls Argus Leader Elite 45 after catching 33 passes for 419 yards and seven touchdowns, while adding another score on the ground for Kimball High School in 2023. He also earned Class 9AA all-state honors as a defensive end as a senior.
In addition to football, Leiferman has been an all-region performer in baseball, as well as an all-conference selection in basketball after averaging 17 points and 13 rebounds per game his junior season. VERMILLION, S.D. – Chamberlain distance runner Kinsey Evans was one of 25 athletes to sign a letter of intent to attend the University of South Dakota and compete for the Coyote Track and Field and Cross Country programs beginning next year. The team captain at Chamberlain High School, Kinsey Evans is a six-time state medalist in cross country and nine-time state medalist in track and field. She finished seventh as a senior at the South Dakota Class A Cross Country Championships in 18:48.91. Her personal records include times of 18:35 for 5,000 meters in cross country, 11:17 for 3,200 meters and 5:16 for 1,600 meters. Evans also played basketball for the Cubs.
