SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The Oahe Capitals were blazing on the ice over the weekend as they swept a pair of games against the Sioux Center Storm in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The Capitals combined to scored 19 goals in two games and not allow a puck in the net as they shutout the Storm Twice 8-0 on Saturday (Jan. 6, 2024) and 11-0 on Sunday. Jarron Beck had a hat trick and Devin Dodson scored twice on Sunday to lead the Capitals 11 goal onslaught. The Capitals outshout the Storm 43-17 on the game. Jason Jungwirth had the shutout in goal for the Capitals. Saturday’s game was similar as the Capitals out Sioux Center 44-14 in the 8-0 win. Dylan Dodson and Devin Dodson each scored twice as the Capitals built a 5-0 first period lead and never let up the rest of the way. The Capitals return to league action on Saturday when they travel to Brookings to face the Rangers.
