JANUARY 16, 2024:
The Capital Area United Way is holding formal wear “shopping” type events this evening (Jan. 16, 2024) and tomorrow evening.
Executive Director Holly Wade says they are collecting donated formal attire items. Donations can be dropped off at Lee Real Estate in downtown Pierre. Students will be able to look through the items from 5:30-7:30pm both evenings.
This event gives students the opportunity to find formal wear for any upcoming formal at no charge. A “shopping” event had been scheduled for this past Saturday, but it was rescheduled for tomorrow night due to weather.

JANUARY 12, 2024:
The Capital Area United Way is holding two formal wear “shopping” type events in the coming week.
Executive Director Holly Wade says ahead of those events, they are collecting donated formal attire items.
Donated items can be dropped off at Lee Real Estate in downtown Pierre.
Wade says students will be able to look through the items tomorrow (Jan. 13, 2024) from 11am-3pm or Tuesday from 5:30-7:30pm at Lee Real Estate.
Volunteers are also needed to assist shoppers during both events. If you are willing to help, email director@capareaunitedway.org.
Again, this event gives students the opportunity to find formal wear for any upcoming formal at no charge. The dresses, suits and accessories are all donated.
