BROOKINGS, S.D – South Dakota State spotted Northern Colorado an early lead, but the 10th-ranked Jackrabbits stormed back with five victories by technical fall and another by major decision to come out on top, 29-16, in their Big 12 Conference dual opener Friday night (Jan. 19, 2024) in Brookings. The Jackrabbit duo 4th ranked Cade DeVos and 5th ranked Tanner Sloan, the highest ranked individual Jackrabbits, lived up their national rankings with a pair of dominant performances that all ended with technical falls. SDSU ran its winning streak to four matches in improving to 7-2 overall. Northern Colorado dropped to 8-3 in duals this season, including a 1-2 mark against Big 12 opponents. The Jackrabbits are scheduled to host California Baptist in their next match Sunday.
