The best comment we saw about this online was the plane ran into some “unexpected FLATULENCE.”
Someone on Reddit posted a crazy story about something that supposedly happened on an American Airlines flight from Phoenix to Austin last week.
The plane was still at the gate when the person noticed a “disgruntled” passenger they described as “maybe hung over.” Everyone had just boarded, and the guy was already arguing with another passenger.
Then suddenly, the guy said, “You thought THAT was rude? Well, how about THIS?” . . . and loudly PASSED GAS.
The person who posted about it referred to him as “Fartman,” so we’ll follow their lead: Next, they say Fartman started complaining about the smell of some FOOD another passenger brought on board. So someone told him to stop being rude.
Fartman called them “low class.” They fired back with, “Well, you’re back here in economy with the rest of us.”
At that point, a flight attendant stepped in and said “that’s enough.” And the plane started taxiing, so it seemed like it was over.
But minutes later, the plane stopped. Then the pilot came on the speaker, said they were heading back to the gate, and they kicked Fartman off the plane.
Thankfully, he left without causing another scene. The person who posted about it said everyone was relieved Fartman wouldn’t be on the flight, and that the airline handled it well. They were only delayed about 30 minutes.
