City Officials from Winner, Platte, re-elected to district offices for SD Municipal League

The City Finance Officers for Winner and Platte have been re-elected to serve as the Chair and Vice-Chair for District 4 of the South Dakota Municipal League.

Chandra Phillips with Winner and Shauna Meyerink with Platte were elected during a meeting Thursday night (March 21, 2024). As the district chair, Phillips will represent District 4 on the SDML Board of Directors.

Harry Weller, SDML President and Mayor of Kadoka, discussed the direction and future of the Municipal League with the group. Sara Rankin, South Dakota Municipal League Interim Executive Director, spoke about the outcome of the 2024 Legislative Session and the effect new laws will have on South Dakota municipalities.

In other business, those attending voted to hold the 2025 District 4 Meeting in Burke.
