Pierre’s Terwilliger and Dupris earn spots on Class AA girls all-state 2nd team

MITCHELL, S.D. – Two standout seniors and a group of underclassmen make up this year’s Class AA girls basketball all-state first team. Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Mahli Abdouch and Mitchell’s Sawyer Stoebner are the lone seniors the all-state first team, which was selected by the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association. Abdouch is the Class AA girls basketball player of the year. Abdouch and Stoebner are joined in the first team by Brandon Valley sophomore Alyvia Padgett, Rapid City Stevens junior Taaliyah Porter, Sioux Falls Jefferson freshman Brinley Altenburg and Sioux Falls Washington junior Grace Peterson. THE Pierre Governors had two girls named to the second team All State Squad. They were senior Reese Terwilliger and junior Lennix Dupris.

The complete of the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association Class AA Girls all-state teams are:

First Team

  • Hamtyn Heinz, Huron, 5-8, sr., G (15.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg)

  • Taryn Hermansen, Aberdeen Central, 6-0, so., C (14 ppg, 10 rpg).
