With conservative projections in 2025 budget, sales and Triple B tax collections for Fort Pierre increase from 2024

Fort Pierre saw more tax revenue come in in 2025 than it did in 2024.

Acting City Finance Officer Twila Hoffrogge said sales tax collections were “significantly” over what was budgeted for 2025.

Hoffrogge said the 2026 sales tax revenue projection they put in the budget was conservative.

Hoffrogge said Triple B– or bed, board and booze– tax revenue was also up in 2025 vs 2024.

Hoffrogge shared the tax revenue numbers during this week’s (March 2, 2026) Fort Pierre City Council meeting.
