Reports of cattle stolen from the Fort Pierre and Fort Thompson areas were reported to the South Dakota Brand Board last month (March 2024).
The report shows Brian Scott and Meghan Scott missing 22 cows from about 2.5 miles west of Fort Pierre on Bad River Road. They are described as being Black Angus with white or yellow ear tags.
Doyle Musick reported a cow and 12 yearlings missing from 3 miles west of Fort Thompson and another 4 cows, 4 calves and a bull missing from the area of Bad River Road by Van Metre Road.
The South Dakota Brand Board “may pay up to $5000 to any person who provides information leading to the conviction of any person for the crime of stealing livestock which are branded with a registered brand with the board.”
