South Dakota High School Activities Association releases 2024 football schedules

PIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota High School Activities Association has released (April 17, 2024) the high school football schedules for the fall of 2024. The Pierre T.F. Riggs schedule has them playing their second game of the season at home against Sioux Falls O’Gorman. Jason Poppinga is O’Gorman’s head coach. He was coaching at Pierre until 2015, when current head coach Steve Steele took over the program. Since then, Steele has built a dynasty that holds a state record seven consecutive state championships. They broke West Central’s record of six in a row set from 2000-2005.
