PIERRE, S.D. – As the defending Class AA champion in the 200-meter dash, Pierre’s Kali Ringstmeyer has had a target on her back all season. At the Howard Wood Dakota Relays track meet over the weekend (May 3-4, 2024), Ringstmeyer showed she’s up to the challenge. Ringstmeyer has Class AA’s fastest times in the 100-meter dash (:12.16) and 200-meter dash (:25.50).
But, Ringsteyer is not alone in the sprinting prowess for Pierre as Charlee Williams-Smith has the fifth fastest 200-meter dash (25.90) and the fastest 400-meter dash (:58.66). One other Governor girl sits atop the leaderboard in Class AA track. Reese Terwilliger, has the top shot put toss of the season so far at 43’-2”.
The state track meet will be held May 23-24, 2024.
