It was teacher appreciation night at the Oahe Zap game last night, and everyone in attendance appreciated the offensive onslaught from the Zap. In game one of a two game series, the Zap hung eleven runs on the Nebraska Prospect to win 11-6. The Zap wasted no time firing up the offensive engines as Vince Polizzi hit a two-run shot to left field in the bottom of the first inning to give the Zap a 3-0 lead. The Prospect answered back with three runs of their own to knot it up at 3-3.
The Prospect recorded three errors which led to more scoring for Oahe, but it was Vince Polizzi who left the biggest mark on this game. Polizzi hit, not one, but two more homeruns to complete the hat trick. His third homerun travelled nearly 400 feet to left center and would certainly have been gone in a majority of MLB parks.
