The Minnesota Twins wrapped up a four-game series against the Oakland A’s yesterday with a doubleheader, and it could not have gone any better. The Twins took both games from Oakland winning game one 6-2 & game two 8-7. Royce Lewis had himself a day with homeruns in both games, but it was Jose Miranda who secured the win in game two with a solo homerun in the bottom of the 8th to give the Twins the lead.
These two wins make it a five-game win streak for the Twins who now only sit 5.5 games out of first place in the division. Minnesota has a well-deserved day off today, but will start a three-game series at home against the Tampa Bay Rays tomorrow at 6:40 CT.
