U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Corporate Chef Germán Navarrete is based in Mexico City, but his talents are employed throughout the world. With support from USDA and the Beef Checkoff Program, Chef Navarrete recently conducted training sessions for chefs and culinary students in the Middle East.
He explains that trainings were held in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The workshop in Saudi Arabia offered a rare opportunity to educate male and female culinary students together.
Chef Navarrete’s vast experience in Latin America added a unique perspective to the training sessions, where he instructed participants on how to avoid overcooking U.S. beef.
