I was starting to think nobody was willing to stand up to Taylor Swift. Even people like Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, and Bruce Springsteen have bowed down at her altar.
But finally, someone has taken a stand, and delivered what can only be described as the SECOND “shot heard ’round the world.” Here’s the deal:
While Taylor was in the middle of her run at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday night, a little band you may have heard of called the Foo Fighters was playing at a smaller venue called London Stadium.
And Dave Grohl had this to say . . . quote, “I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’
“We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few errors as well.”
Then he added, quote, “That’s because we actually play live. What?! Just saying . . . You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right place.”
Well, Taylor must have heard about that, because she responded during her Wembley show on Sunday. But she did NOT launch a direct attack.
Early in the show, she thanked her band, saying they would be, quote, “playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight.”
She added, quote, “They deserve this so much. And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it.”
