Roosevelt Avenue and Highway 34 intersection in Pierre scheduled to temporarily close on Wednesday

The intersection of S. Roosevelt Avenue and Highway 34 in Pierre will close Wednesday (July 24, 2024) for water main work. Traffic should use Green Street as the detour route.

It is scheduled to reopen by Thursday. The construction is part of the water main loop project to improve reliability to customers on the eastern side of Pierre.
