Customers of the DQ Grill & Chill restaurant in Pierre raised more than $8000 for the Children’s Miracle network during Thursday’s Miracle Treat Day (July 25, 2024).
Store Manager Jen Uecker says the money comes from a combination of things.
Uecker says in past years she’s set a goal for her store for Miracle Treat Day. She says she didn’t do that this year.
Uecker says a number of volunteer groups also helped by delivering pre-orders or by monitoring the outdoor activities area to kids safe as people went through the drive-thru.
On Miracle Treat Day, participating Dairy Queen locations donate $1 or more of the proceeds from Blizzard® and Blizzard® coupon sales to the Sanford Health Foundation to support kids at Sanford Children’s Hospital, the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
