Coldplay debuted their new single “All My Love” this past Saturday. There’s no need to adjust your algorithm if you haven’t heard it yet. Because it debuted at some random couple’s wedding.
Here’s what happened:
During Coldplay’s September 2nd show in Dublin, Chris Martin sat down at the piano and played a sneak preview of the song, and the band posted the video on Twitter.
This past Thursday, a guy named Paul Delcloy reached out to Coldplay’s manager, and asked if he and his fiancée Celine could dance to “All My Love” at their wedding in two days.
He also reposted a picture of himself and Celine holding a sign asking Coldplay to actually attend the wedding and perform it.
Well, the band didn’t show up for the reception, but they did send a studio copy of “All My Love”, which had never been played to the public, so Paul and Celine could share their first dance to it.
Coldplay reposted video of their dance, and added their congratulations.
