It only took about two days for game one of the Twins and Guardians series to conclude, but it was certainly worth the wait. The game was suspended on Monday in the fourth inning with the Twins leading 2-1, and was picked up earlier today at 12:10. Cleveland quickly tied things up at two apiece after Carolos Santana went deep, but Minnesota regained the lead in the bottom half of the inning thanks to a Kody Clemens RBI triple and then a sac-fly off the bat of Harrison Bader giving the Twins a 4-2 lead. Bader drove in another run in the eighth making it 5-2 and putting the Twins three outs away from the win, but the Guardians did not go down without a fight. Cleveland scored three runs in the top of the ninth and tied things up at five, sending the game to the bottom of the ninth.
With two runners on, Clemens delivered the game winning hit with a rocket into left center field allowing the winning run to score from second.
