The Twins got thumped by the Rangers in game one of the series two nights ago, giving up 16 runs and losing the game. But they looked like they shook that loss off quickly after coming out last night and winning 6-2 to even up the series.
The Twins fell behind early, but Byron Buxton hit an astonishing 479-foot homer in the third to give the Twins a 3-2 lead. It stands as the longest home run of Buxton’s career. The Twins would pick up a three more in the fifth after Willi Castro hit a triple and Carlos Correa hit a ground rule double.
Game three of the series will be this afternoon at 12:10 PM CT on KGFX 1060 AM or 103.1 FM in the Pierre area. Bailey Ober will be on the mound for Minnesota.
