Sales tax collections for Fort Pierre this year are up, when compared to the previous year.
Acting City Finance Officer Twila Hoffrogge says both the sales tax revenue and the “triple B”– or bed, board and booze– tax revenue are more than 4% above where they were as of October 2024.
For next year, Hoffroggee says she’ll most likely update which tax collection information is compiled for Fort Pierre City Council members each month.
