A 53 year old man from Rapid City died Sunday morning from injuries sustained during a single-vehicle crash Friday evening (Sept. 19, 2025, at 5:19pm) near Rapid City, South Dakota.
Name of the person involved has not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 1994 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide was traveling east on SD 44 when a deer ran onto the road. The driver was unable to avoid hitting the animal. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died Sunday morning from those injuries.
