Sept. 9, 2025:
At this time next year, the Pierre Public School District will have a different superintendent.
During Monday night’s (Sept. 8, 2025) school board meeting, Dr. Kelly Glodt announced his intention to retire from the job he currently holds at the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year.
Glodt says while doing those Bucket List and retirement things, he’ll still be a Pierre Governors fan.
Pierre School Board President Joan Adam thanked Glodt for allowing them plenty of time to determine how they want to handle the hiring process.
Adam and fellow board members Jessica Lewis and Dan Cronin jokingly strategized on how to prevent Glodt from retiring.
Glodt’s retirement is effective June 30, 2026.
