The 2026 Ride Across South Dakota (RASDak) bicycle tour will start and end in Platte, making stops in Chamberlain, Pierre, Lower Brule, Burke and Wagner.
The “Fort to Fort” cycling route will follow the Missouri River in and out of its rolling hills and prairies.
Online registration for RASDak is open (Jan. 1, 2026), with options to participate for the full-week or for a single-day. Registered riders receive on-route support and indoor and outdoor camping accommodations.
RASDak is supported 100% by volunteers.
Over its 13 year history, RASDak has attracted thousands of cyclists from across the United States and Canada. All proceeds from the rides have been dedicated to worthy community and cycling causes in South Dakota. Some of those include:

a $750 scholarship awarded to an outstanding high school senior from each of the overnight stop over communities;

bike repair stations donated to numerous overnight stop towns;

funds donated to West River Ranchers devastated by a blizzard in 2014;
-
a 12 rack bike trailer donated to the Boys Club in Rapid City;
-
the Cheyenne River Youth Project;
-
Pine Ridge flood relief;
-
and donations to Mahpiya Luta (Red Cloud Indian School).
RASDak has also been an economic boon to communities along each year’s route. Food and rest stops are provided along the way and are often put on by local groups as fundraisers.
The cyclists will spend their first night, May 30, in Platte. That will be followed by overnight stops in:

back to Platte on Friday, June 5.
