After a year of facing criminal charges connected to a federal land lease that’s been in place for several decades, the United States government announced in April 2025 (April 29, 2025) that it had dropped the charges against South Dakota ranchers Charles and Heather Maude. In this episode, hear what Charles had to say on January 12, 2026, during a pre-legislative session property rights rally held in the South Dakota State Capitol Building in Pierre.

The Maude family ranch is located approximately 20 miles southeast of Rapid City, near Caputa in Pennington County.
