The Mobridge City Council held a regular meeting on Wednesday, February 11th. Michael Gorder from Moore Engineering gave the council an update on the wastewater project bid process. He said they are waiting on funding agencies right now.
For the water project, Gorder told the council that the water transmission line on the highway is installed.
Council approved several pay requests for the water storage tank project, the water treatment plant project, and the water treatment plant electrical project. They also approved an estimate to repair a pump at the wastewater treatment plant in the amount of $34,250.00.
For the Fire Department – Council approved the surplus of a 1991 Chevy Suburban.
For the Street Department – Council approved the purchase of a snow blower in the amount of $149,037.70. And for this purchase, they approved moving $150,000.00 from the Assigned Street Equipment balance. Mobridge City Finance Officer Heather Beck explained.
Also at the meeting, Council approved a quote to replace the doors on the north side of the Scherr-Howe Event Center at a cost of $5,476.00; and they set March 18th as the date for the Equalization Meeting with the time to be determined.
