Trump warns Iran energy sites face destruction without a quick deal

UNDATED-AP- President Donald Trump says Iran faces massive damage to its energy system unless it quickly agrees to end the war. Trump said Monday (March 30, 2026) talks showed “great progress” but he threatened to hit power plants, oil wells and Kharg Island. Iran has warned it could mine the Persian Gulf if it is invaded. The U.S. and Israel kept up strikes on Monday. Iran hit a key water and power plant in Kuwait and an oil refinery in Israel. Trump also said Iran allowed 20 oil ships through Hormuz starting Monday.
