After convening the State Board of Canvassers Wednesday (Aug. 5, 2026) in Pierre, the Secretary of State’s Office has published the official results for the 2026 Republican Gubernatorial Runoff Election.
“The Runoff election results are official.” stated Secretary Monae Johnson. “A heartfelt thank you to all of the election workers and county auditors for their hard work and continued dedication to South Dakota elections.”
Larry Rhoden received 83,590 votes and Toby Doeden received 34,435 votes.
