SIOUX FALLS – An excellent senior season has earned Stanley County’s Lathan Prince a top honor.
Prince was named Tuesday to the Class A third team of the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association All-State Boys Basketball Teams.
Prince, who played for the Buffaloes for five years and started for four, averaged 17.5 points per game in helping the Buffaloes make the SoDak 16 for the first time and move to within one game of the state tournament for the first time since 2008. Prince averaged 17.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. He made 62 three-pointers, second in Class A to Jeff Worth of Tea Area, who made 66. Prince made 82 percent of his free throws and made 39 steals.
