A traffic stop on US Highway 212 in Corson County last week (June 18) netted over 15 pounds of marijuana and cash worth a combined, estimated amount of $51-thousand.
Information from the Corson County Sheriff’s office says about 11:30 Thursday night, Deputy Mark Bilben made the traffic stop, intercepting 17 pounds of marijuana on its way from the west coast to Aberdeen.
Mobridge Police Department officer Nate Pepin and K9 officer Zane assisted in the stop.
A 38-year-old-male from Pooler, Georgia, was arrest on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Ingesting Substance Excluding Alcohol to Intoxicate, Possession of More than 10 pounds of Marijuana, Possession or Use of Drug Paraphernalia by a Driver, Possession with Intent to Distribute One Pound or More of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest and Speeding on a State Highway.
