Funeral services for Paula Iron Shield-Crow Ghost, age 47 of Wakpala, SD, will be at 11:00am CT Thursday, April 28, 2022,  at the Blue Gym in McLaughlin, SD. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at the Yellow Family Cemetery in Wakpala. SD.  A procession will leave Oster Funeral Home of Mobridge at 5:00pm CT on Wednesday April 27th 2022, to the Blue Gym in McLaughlin, SD, for a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00pm and an all-night wake. Paula passed away on April 19, 2022, due to injuries received in an auto accident.

 

Paula Nadine was born on May 20, 1974 to Ronald Paul Yellow and Dolores Iron Shield. She was raised in McLaughlin by Patrick Yellow and Darlene Jewett.  Paula attended school in McLaughlin and Flandreau   Indian School, then obtained her GED. 

Paula loved to tease and laugh and loved to cook. She was known for helping with cooking for large events.

 

Paula is Survived by

Sons: Donovan (Jerrica) Yellow, Zaken Spotted Horse, Kendric Spotted Horse, Andrew, Grandchildren: Arial, Ashton,  Xavier, AJ, Jayceon, Elias, siblings: Violet Yellow, Rhonda Yellow, Rita (Yellow) Castro, Heather Tiger, Alice Bird Horse (Yellow), Maria Iron Shield, Robbi (Brandon Mauai) Yellow, Tia Rose Yellow, brothers: Ronald Yellow, Jr, Dustin Iron Shield, Trevor Iron Shield as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many more.

 Preceded in death by

Her son: Baby Kenny Spotted Horse, parents: Patrick Yellow and Darlene Jewett, parents: Ronald Yellow, Sr. and Dolores Iron Shield, paternal grandparents: Allen and Mildred (Huff) Yellow, maternal grandmother: Irene Harry chin.
