Memorial services for Bradley Sandmeier, 62, of Mobridge will be at 2 PM, Monday July 18, 2022 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Bradley passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at his home. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.
Bradley Arthur Sandmeier was born June 19, 1960 to Arthur and Virginia Sandmeier in Bowdle, SD. His siblings were three sisters: Peggy, Carmen, and Valerie, and one brother Kelly. The family lived on a farm north of Bowdle and when the farm was sold, they moved to Mobridge when Brad was 5. He attended the Zion Lutheran School in Mobridge.
He met Celeste Tiger and together they had four children, two sons Macy and Tracy and two daughters, Haley and Jamie. Years later, he met Lynette Friez and they had a son Colton.
Brad worked briefly on the bridge when it was being repaired. He worked with his father with Sandmeier Tree Services for many years. Brad was never afraid of heights and helped his uncle Ray change light bulbs in the high towers of the sports fields in Mobridge. He was also a drummer in their band. He worked with his sister Carmen putting up billboard signs and remodeling houses.
Brad loved playing basketball in his younger years. He also was very gifted with woodworking and handy with plumbing and electrical work. He loved to watch movies with his nephew Joseph Sandmeier. They spent a lot of time together as Joe would help Brad a lot. He also spent time with his aunt Emma Olson who also helped Brad get around. He loved music very much!
Survivors are his four children; Macy, Tracy, Jamie, and Colton, many grandchildren, mother, Virginia Sandmeier, sister, Carmen (Duane) Gisi, brother, Kelly (Vicky) Sandmeier, aunt, Emma Olson, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bradley was preceded in death by his father, Arthur, sisters, Peggy and Valerie, daughter, Haley, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
