Stan Collins peacefully passed away at his home on July 13, 2022 surrounded by his family at the age of 69. There will be a visitation on Sunday, July 17th from 5:00pm until 6:00pm, with a prayer service beginning at 6:00pm at the American Lutheran Church in Kennebec. Stan’s funeral service will be at 10:30am on Monday, July 18th at the Kennebec Gym, with burial to follow at Kennebec Cemetery.

Stanley Paul Collins was born on April 26, 1953 to Patrick and Lucille (Halverson) Collins in Morris, MN. Stan grew up in Norcrosse, MN and graduated from Herman High School in 1971. Stan married his high school sweetheart Rosemary Fabian on September 8, 1973 in Herman, MN. To this union four children were born Matthew, Jamie, Beth and Justin. Stan and Rosemary lived in Herman, MN, Watertown, SD and then moved to Kennebec where they settled in 1982. Stan started work at Kennebec Farmers Union Coop where he worked for 26 years in the elevator business. After retiring from the elevator, Stan worked for Kennebec Telephone Company and Arnoldy Grain.

Stan enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren in all their activities. Stan’s hobbies were riding his Harley, hunting, fishing and watching the Minnesota Vikings. Stan was a true classic car enthusiast. Stan took pride in keeping his yard looking nice and his vehicles always polished.

Stan is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosemary. His children Matthew (Christie), Justin (Nikki) of Kennebec and Beth (Tyler) McPeak of Highmore. His twelve grandchildren: Carter, Colton, Chloe, Jade, Hunter, Tehya, Miles, Brooks, Karsten, Conway, Jaxx and Nova. His siblings: Joseph (Connie), Eugene (Carole) and Teresa (Darrell) Esterly. Brothers-in-law: Rick (Judy), Tom (Sandy), Ray (Patty). Sister-in-laws: Joan (Rick) and Sherry. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Jamie, his parents, two brother-in-laws and one sister-in-law.
