Sierra Beau (Stands) Wilson
Sunrise 2/4/95 – Sunset 7/25/22
Sierra Beau Wilson was born on February 4, 1995, to Nadine “Bac” Stands and Everette “Bug” Wilson Jr. at Winner Regional Hospital, Winner, SD.
She went to school at Winner Elementary, Todd County Schools, and attended Job Corp. Sierra was employed at various jobs including waitressing, clerking, cleaning and selling books in South Dakota and North Dakota. She was currently living in Fort Thompson, SD.
Her favorite pastime and things to do were hanging out with friends, visiting relatives, listening to music, and going to powwows. Sierra had a kind spirit, and was very energetic and friendly with everybody she met. She greeted family members in the Lakota way; acknowledging them as Auntie, Uncle, Cousin, etc. She greeted her friends with a big smile and warm hugs which were always followed by a great conversation. She enjoyed powwows, and was a fancy shawl dancer at one time. No matter where she was or what she was doing Sierra always managed to show up for the Kul Wicasa Oyate Wacipi.
Sierra leaves behind her 3 children whom she loved very much Gjoa, Robin, and Azariah. Her siblings Julian Stands, Calista Wilson, Ty Wilson, Trenton Wilson, Akira Wilson, and Chaske Estes. Her grandmother Wilma Wilson, great grandmother Irene Skunk and aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews on both the Wilson and Stands side of the family are too numerous to list.
Sierra began her journey Monday, July 25, 2022, as a result of a swimming accident. Welcoming her home are her parents Nadine Stands and Everette Wilson Jr, and her son Zachariah, Maternal Grandparents Clarence Stands and Josephine (Eagle Star) Stands, and Paternal Grandfather Everette T. Wilson Sr.
