Despite having no service for the first three months, nearly 15,000 people flew out of the Pierre Regional Airport last year (2019).
City commissioner Jamie Huizenga says December finished the year strong.
He says there were over 650 flights out of the airport.
Huizenga says the increased usage has created a parking shortage, but that problem should be resolved this year.
