FORT PIERRE – Stanley County registered nearly 400 yards of offense Friday while the defense recorded five sacks as the Buffaloes earned their first 2022 victory, 42-29 over Dupree at Ole Williamson Field.
Senior Colton Brady led Stanley County’s ground game with 135 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Barret Schweitzer caught two touchdown passes and ran for another.
Stanley County (1-2) scored on their first two possessions on a touchdown pass from Brock Zeeb to Chase Hanson and a Brady touchdown run. After Dupree cut SC’s lead to 12-8, Zeeb found Schweitzer for 30-yard and 59-yard touchdowns in the second quarter and the Buffaloes led 26-8 at halftime.
Brady and Schweitzer added touchdown runs in the fourth quarter.
Schweitzer had 128 yards rushing, 43 yards receiving and 200 all-purpose yards. Zeeb was 8-of-15 for 160 yards and three touchdowns passing.
Schweitzer, Hanson, Cash Richardson, Noah Baldwin and Ehran Cantu all had sacks for Stanley County. Schweitzer and Paxton Deal had interceptions.
