Richard Albert Mueller, 64, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Monday, October 10, 2022 in Sioux City, IA. Funeral Services will be at 3 pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Fort Pierre Congregational Church in Fort Pierre, SD.
Richard was born to Harold and Dorothy (Rathbun) Mueller in Pierre, SD. He grew up in and around Pierre with his 6 siblings. He married Rose Miller and they had three children: Racheal, Richard and Bryan. He worked in Pierre in various positions. The family moved to Mitchell in 1990 where he worked as a welder for Trail King. He started trucking in 2001 and eventually moved to Sioux Falls. Divorced in 2006. And has been trucking for Dakota Carriers the last 14 years.
Richard is survived by his children: Racheal (Josh) Van Zee of Sioux Falls, Richard Jr “Richie” (April) Mueller of Marathon, WI, and Bryan (Ayami) Mueller of San Diego, CA, 9 grandchildren: Braden, Elijah, Nehemiah, Micah, Jeremiah, Ezra, Abijah, Obadiah, and Sarah, his mother Dorothy Mueller of Rapid City, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Harold Mueller and his brother Gilbert Mueller.
